Guess what my wife gave me for Christmas – a voucher for a face lift!
At first I thought it was some kind of weird joke. But it’s for real. I can redeem it any time in the next twelve months. She said I should be grateful because the procedure is worth about $4,000 and lots of men would kill for it.
I don’t know who these men are, but I’m completely offended. Especially since I’m actually four years younger than my wife. She’s been joking lately about my fine lines and crows feet and saying that she might have to get herself a toy boy! Maybe she wasn’t joking after all.
How can I make her realise that this gift is very hurtful?
Dear Face Value,
Apparently 60% of facelift patients are disappointed with the results – despite looking pleasantly surprised.
I read it on the internet, so it must be true.
Hope this helps.
With kind regards,
