Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation

January 26, 2018 by The Yak Leave a Comment

Dear Yak,

I’m a single girl in my 20s and I’ve just started dating a charming guy I met online. The trouble is, he’s 50.

Not that 50 is old or anything. He’s good looking and very fit and he doesn’t leak or have man boobs. But my friends are all making fun of the age difference, saying I have daddy issues. And that he’s got a “daughter fetish” (whatever that means).

But I prefer more mature men over the insecure, needy, macho jerks my own age. I mean, they’re all just thinking of one thing. But I don’t believe in sex outside of marriage. How can I make my friends see that it makes perfect sense for me to date an older guy?

Yours sincerely,

My Heart Belongs To Daddy

Dear Heart,

To be honest, it sounds like your friends are just jealous. They probably all secretly wish they had a mature, confident 50-year old bloke of their own who knows who he is and what he wants out of life.

In other words, I think you’re very wise dating an older man. At 50, he probably knows by now that the world is just one big faeces sandwich and he’s gotten used to life’s never-ending disappointments. Which means he’s ready for you.

Hope this helps.

With kinds regards,

The Yak
